I recently moved here in the high desert area since October of 2007. I was in the mortgage business since 2004 from Loan Account Executive and moved up to Loan Processor in 2005; year 2006 Branch Manager/Loan Production Manager/
Loan Officer  until 2008 in the Orange County area. I even worked as one of the Loan Officers of Ms. Cherie Miller under her company name, Affordable Financial Services in 29 Palms, CA from December 2007 until May 2008.  Due to the down market, I decided to hold on to my license for awhile and later decided to move on to the real estate sales side working with Madelaine LaVoie (daughter of Ms. Miller)-29Palms Realty.  Yes! I'm liking the sales side of the real estate.  I'm open on getting leads (buying or listing) in any other areas of California.  Being an experienced loan officer, it's easy for me to analyze the situation of my buyers towards purchasing their new homes. Greetings from Joshua Tree. The J.T. community is one of the residential areas in the Morongo Basin which also includes the cities of Yucca Valley and 29 Palms. Here I have lived since March 1, 1974 when I walked into Yucca Valley High School as a Social Studies teacher. Along with teaching, I also completed a twenty five year career in the grocery industry.  This part of the Mojave desert has been a perfect setting to raise two children, two  grandchildren, and the two high school children living at home.

Oh gosh, what kind of gory details can I share with you about myself?

I spent most of my formative years in Ohio and NYC and moved here in the 1980's. I’ve lived in the same house in 29 Palms for over 25 years. Yikes!

I was the Dave Stephens Charity race-walking champion of 29 Palms three times -- that's the 50-mile division! I walk every day, sometimes twice a day, so walking is still a big part of my daily life.

I’ve also worked as an archaeologist for 15 years. I’m currently working on an intermittent basis with Joshua Tree National Park, where I’m a park archaeological technician. In addition, I serve as a substitute teacher and enjoy working with the special education kids.

I’ve been selling real estate since 1999. My love for the desert and community activism help me to represent clients who are new to the area or have specific real estate needs. Since I’m familiar with the lenders here, I can help home buyers find the best financing available and navigate the loan process through closing.
